The sensor is as per Industrial standards, based on latest technology, user friendly, sophisticated and reliable to give best desired results in harsh Industrial Environment .The sensor is hermetically sealed and hence, virtually maintenance free in day-to day operations.
The technical specifications of sensor is standard such that it can be installed at Loom of any company without any additional , non-standard Mechanical Fittings and PCB Relay Card creating complications in panel (Occupying unnecessary space) and increasing energy consumption . It is a direct alternative for sensors of Lohia /GCL/ Starlinger .without degrading the standard of reputed Machines by installing non standard accessories. As the sensing range of sensor is quite good (up to 300mm), it reduces the chances of frequent stopping of machine due to malfunction even when tape is not detected empty by sensor.
Principle of Operation
The installation of bobbin sensor is simple. The distance between sensor and shuttle bobbin (with about 1 mm of tape on it) should be around 150-160mm. The Potentiometer provided on sensor is used to adjust the sensing range. Red LED on the top of sensor indicates the signal status of sensor.
The Color Sensor LED lights up when a bobbin is under the sensor and it is sensed. (When bobbin comes under sensor, this LED lights up). During normal operation when loom is running, this LED will be blinking indicating that all the shuttles are sensed and no shuttle is near empty. In this condition a stop signal will be generated by bobbin sensor and the loom will be stopped.
It is a highly sophisticated and state of the art Color sensor to detect weft end when shuttle bobbin nears empty condition. The sensor is based on Infra Red principle to detect the presence of tape on bobbin. The Color Sensor and Base Proximity Switch is synchronized to give pulses to Loom Controller/PLC, which calculates various timing and detects the near empty bobbin and sends the trip signal to Main Motor.
It is a highly sophisticated and state of the art Color sensor to detect weft end when shuttle bobbin nears empty condition. The sensor is based on Infra Red principle to detect the presence of tape on bobbin. The Sensor gives pulses to Weft Intelligent Controller (WFT01) which calculates various timing and detects the near empty bobbin and sends the trip signal to machine .The Controller can be tuned at desired speed at which Loom is running. As the sensing mechanism is based on Infra Red principle, color of shuttle bobbin tape and base color of empty bobbin may affect the performance of sensor, however sensor will work faithfully on Light color tape and all mild steel bobbins. Our Color sensor is designed to detect the near empty condition of bobbin. When the sensor detects the near empty condition of bobbin, the sensor sends signal to Weft Intelligent Controller to stop the loom, so that only that particular bobbin can be changed. This not only results in Zero defects Fabric, but also Zero wastage on bobbins also.
Our Color sensor has been used widely for Pre-Exhaust Weft End Detection on Looms and avoiding the wastage of fabric generated due to weft end .Thus a defect free fabric can be produced on Looms. It is designed to detect the near empty condition of Shuttle bobbins.
